Hello everyone!

After listening to the feedback from our community, we've decided to host 'A Swing Renaissance' on a monthly basis in the year 2024! We absolutely love the wonderful musician, artist, and dancer community here in Utah and having a recurring opportunity to come together and build this living tradition is incredibly exciting.

Please mark these first three dates in your calendar:

  • January 25th

  • February 22nd

  • March 28th

Each gathering will have its own theme, from the mystique of Halloween to the warmth of a Christmas, the pioneering rhythms of Western Swing, to the soulful embrace of New Orleans. We have some really fun ideas and plans, but would love your input as well!

What evenings would stir your soul? What musicians, styles, or themes would you like to see highlighted? Share with us. Reply here, comment or send a direct message on Instagram.

We are so excited to work with the incredible director of our Bei Mir Bist du Schön video again, David Thorpe. We're shooting a music video of our studio recording of 'When I Grow Too Old To Dream' on November 22nd and we need your help!

Want to help us bring our new music video to life? We need to make the Clubhouse look like this photo. Fill out this form and help us! We're looking for extras for two hours from 5-7pm on November 22nd.

Haven't seen the last one? Check out Bei Mir Bist du Schön! We are just about to hit 750k views in just a few months. Thank you to everyone who made this video happen! We're excited to show the world how great the Utah music scene is.

Come see the Swing Orchestra at the Egyptian Theater tonight! for a captivating evening of swing and jazz, brought to you by the Excellence in the Community Concert Series. Hot House West is Going to New Orleans!

The journey is set for the Hot House West Swing Orchestra as they prepare to take their talents to the iconic city of New Orleans. During the Jazz Education Network Conference this January, the group will take the stage, ready to showcase their swing ensemble to an audience of students, respected educators, and seasoned musicians!

Upcoming Community Events

Our newsletters will go out every Monday as we begin to build a running list of jazz and swing-related community events. If you would like to submit anything to this list, please message by 5:00pm the Wednesday prior. We will review it and add it to our events if it is a good fit! Thanks.

Melissa Chillinksi is a gem in the Utah acoustic music scene. A natural community builder, she brings people together and empowers them to have a voice. Her own excellent banjo and guitar playing weaves acoustic traditions together and elevates them through her own powerful voice as a writer and storyteller. Since leaving her day job on the farm a couple years ago, she has played a critical role in galvanizing the acoustic music scene. There is a newfound community amongst friends old and new, with Melissa very often at the center. As the dynamic force behind the Trashmoon Collective, Melissa Chillinski is building on the work she has been doing all along to build community. Follow her on social media and check out one of her events!
