Meg Peters is the owner of Acoustic Music, an independent brick and mortar shop rooted in the heart of Salt Lake City, dedicated to serving the community with friendly faces, expert advice, and the most beautiful acoustic instruments around.

We house the finest selection of guitars and banjos in the region. Our ‘Good Wood’, all-American made guitar showroom features an incredible collection of Martin, Collings, Bedell, Bourgeois, Iris, and Santa Cruz guitars. We also hand select heirloom American made banjos from Pisgah, Ode, Deering, and Nechville for both the old time and bluegrass picker.

Along with our American made instruments, we have a large collection of imported, budget-friendly options, including classical guitars by Cordoba; steel string guitars by Eastman and Teton; ukuleles by Kala, Cordoba, Teton, and Ohana; banjos and unique instruments by Gold Tone Inc; and Eastman mandolins. We carry a large selection of accessories, including straps, pickups, harmonicas, slides, picks, tuners, capos, and other necessary accoutrements.

When our doors first opened nearly five decades ago, our goal was to share our love of acoustic music with the local community. We believe in the power of music to bring people together, and we’ve made it our mission to foster a welcoming environment for musicians of all skill levels, from the eager beginner to the seasoned professional.
